  • Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • One onion sliced

  • 1/2 red pepper diced
  • Three tbsp.olive oil
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar, salt, and pepper to taste

 

Clean green beans and cut in 3. Boil in salted water for 6-7 min. Strain and run cold water over them to stop the cooking process and maintain a vibrant green color. An ice bath is recommended.

In a heavy skillet, add oil and saute onion, red pepper, and walnuts on low heat for five min.just until transparent, not brown. Add balsamic vinegar, sugar, and season with salt and pepper.

Remove from heat and pour on green beans, mix well, and your salad is ready.

Excellent side dish as well goes perfect with Pork chops, roasted chicken, and more.

Green beans have a natural sweetness, and this dressing complements the original flavor.
