Cubanelle peppers a great Meze in Greek cooking!
They are a sweet variety of peppers!
Light yellowish-green in color.
They will turn bright red if allowed to ripen!
Thinner flesh peppers are longer and they have a slightly more wrinkled appearance.
This is a very simple way to cook the Cubanelle peppers, but a very nice addition to a meal.
- Ingredients
- 5-6 Cubanelles washed and dried well
- Olive oil for frying
- ¼ cup red wine vinegar
- Salt and a touch of garlic powder
In a heavy frying pan add olive oil and lightly fry the peppers turning them a couple of times. About 5-6 minutes
When done add salt, garlic powder, and wine vinegar, continue cooking another minute and they are ready to serve.
They complement a Greek meal like Feta and olives!
