Pitaroudia, a meze to have in mind!
Here is the recipe for Pitaroudia…a delicacy from the island of Rhodes!

It is amazing just how each region in Greece has something different to offer!
Pitaroudia you will find only in that particular place! Rhodes is a beautiful island. I love to visit this island as I have many friends there!
It’s a big island; therefore, you always come up with new things to see, eat, and enjoy!
The Pitaroudia recipe belongs to them, on the island of Rhodes, and they make them perfect!
Do visit Rhodes, at least once, it will be unforgettable!
- Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas drained and mashed.19 oz.
- 1 cup feta shredded
- 1 cup Friulano cheese shredded
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp dry mint
- 3 fresh onions chopped
- 2 tbsp flour
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup water and 1 tsp baking powder
Mix all the ingredients and pan-fry in hot vegetable oil for a few minutes on each side.
Place on paper towel. Serve as meze!
